What Are Australian Doctors’ Principal Goals?

Every year Macquarie conducts a survey of general practitioners and medical specialists across Australia, in partnership with the Business For Doctors network.

One of the key findings of the most recent report (Macquarie Healthcare business pulse check) was that 71% of respondents listed achieving financial security as the primary or secondary personal goal.

Equally important was growing personal wealth at a combined 70%.

The report further highlighted the 3 biggest personal challenges that stand in the way of achieving those personal goals:

  1. Tax minimisation

  2. Getting the most out of income

  3. Balancing financial commitments

30% of respondents also listed accessing reliable financial advice as an issue of concern.

These findings are certainly not a surprise to us, as we have medical practitioners contacting us every day with these very same goals and challenges.

We have made it our mission to help medical professional like yourself achieve financial security sooner rather than later.
